Civil Engineer

This position will provide contract administration/direct engineering supervision on bridge/highway construction projects to ensure compliance with contract provision and MnDOT policies. Please note: This vacancy is being announced at two different job classes at the same time. If the position is not filled by a qualified applicant at the Engineer Senior level, it will be filled at the Grad 2 Engineer level. Please see minimum qualifications below for more information. Minimum Qualifications: Engineer Senior Minimum Qualifications: - Licensure as a professional Civil Engineer with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience, and Interior Design (AELSLAGID). (If obtaining licensure through Comity, a temporary permit from AELSLAGID must be provided to MnDOT HR prior to starting employment.) Engineer 2 Graduate Minimum Qualifications: - A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction engineering from an ABET accredited college or university or its equivalency as rated by NCEES/EAC. - A passing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering exam. - Two years post-graduation civil engineering work. Please note: A master’s degree in civil engineering or construction engineering from an ABET accredited college or university or its equivalency as rated by NCEES/EAC substitutes for one year of post-graduate civil engineering work. OR - Received a passing score on the Minnesota Principals and Practices of Civil Engineering (PE) Exam.
